Privacy + Affiliate Disclosure

Plain English.

I don't like privacy policies that take a lawyer to read. Here's how this site handles your data and money — clearly, in one page.

Data this site collects

From you, directly: nothing — unless you email me at facuarez@gmail.com or send a message through one of my social profiles. In that case, the conversation lives only in my inbox or the platform you used. I don't add anyone to mailing lists without explicit permission.

Anonymous traffic data: the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Cloudflare records anonymous information like total page views, country-level geographic region, and referring URL. None of that traces back to a specific person.

Cookies: none set by this site directly. If you click an affiliate link to a third-party site (Amazon, B&H, DJI, etc.), that third-party site may set its own cookies — but those are governed by their privacy policies, not mine.

RSS, search, and other tools

The site offers an RSS feed at /rss.xml for readers who prefer that. RSS subscriptions are not tracked — I have no way to know who's subscribed or who's reading via RSS.

Site search is handled by Pagefind, which runs entirely in your browser. Your search queries don't leave your device.

Affiliate links

Some links on byfacundo.com to drones, gear, accessories, and software are affiliate links. If you click through one and buy, the seller (typically Amazon, B&H Photo, Adorama, GetFPV, or DJI) pays me a small commission at no additional cost to you. Those commissions help fund the site.

Affiliate links are marked in HTML with rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes, which is the standard signal that a link is monetized. Most browsers don't display this directly, but it's there in the page source for anyone who wants to verify.

What I don't do: recommend products I haven't used, or push higher-commission gear over better-fit gear. The recommendations on this site are based on my actual experience working with the equipment as a paid filmmaker since 2018. If two pieces of gear do the job equally well and one pays me more, I'll mention both and let you choose. If a piece of gear pays me well but isn't worth your money, I won't recommend it at all.

If you'd rather buy without the affiliate link, find the product directly on the seller's site. Either way works for you. The affiliate version helps me; the direct version doesn't hurt me.
